Loans of 6 to 8 million Tomans for students in underprivileged areas / Food support packages for pregnant students
According to the Public Relations of the Student Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Engineer Zolfaghar Yazdan Mehr stated: In order to utilize the capacity of non-governmental public institutions, a memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Science and the Mostazafan Foundation.
He pointed to the provisions of this memorandum of understanding and said: Based on this memorandum of understanding, student loans will be paid to students in deprived areas.
The head of the Student Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Science referred to the amount of the educational loan and added: The amount of this loan is 6 and 8 million Rials, respectively, for single and married students for each semester.
Engineer Yazdan Mehr noted: Student loan applications, after being reviewed in the welfare departments of public universities, will be sent to the Alavi Foundation for payment.
He pointed to the repayment terms of this loan and added: Repayment of the Alavi Foundation loan will be in installments 2 years after graduation.
The head of the Student Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Science stated: In order to strengthen the family foundation and also to help the nutrition of pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, with the support and cooperation of the Alavi Foundation, a commodity basket was considered for pregnant students in deprived areas.
Engineer Yazdan Mehr also added about the distribution of this commodity basket: This commodity basket is distributed every two months among eligible students.
He pointed to the conditions of the applicants and added: The head of the family or the spouse must be a student.
The head of the Student Welfare Fund of the Ministry of Science added: At least three months of pregnancy have passed, and in the case of a newborn, the age of the newborn is less than 6 months.
Engineer Yazdan Mehr, referring to the fact that the value of this food basket is up to 3 million Tomans, said: This food basket, in order to support students, includes protein products, rice, meat and various legumes, and of course, various food packages that are in line with strengthening and supporting the nutrition of students.
